When a puck sets a memory - Live Event Calligraphy at a Utah Mammoth Game
It was the first Utah Mammoth home game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
And for a couple of young fans in the Entrata VIP Suite, it was their first game—ever.
If you’re a brand, this is the opportunity: Not just to host an event, but to recognize what's happening inside it. For those fans, it was commemorated by a puck with their name and "1st Mammoth Game" handwritten as they looked on.
I even had some fun creating a hand-lettered Tusks Up style inspired by the Mammoth Sans font designed for the NHL team by Doubleday and Cartwright.
Connection over marketing. Memory over merchandise.
Inside the Delta Center, that’s what’s happening. More here on how the connection is being built: Story: At Delta Center, 'everything is about experience'
Some brand questions worth sitting with from Chris Armstrong, Utah’s president of hockey operations:
“The center of everything is:
• How do we make people feel?
• What experience are we providing?
• Are we able to bring some positivity into their lives?
• Are we able to make them feel better than when they arrived?”
